    Position Title: Director of Financial Planning and AnalysisReports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)FLSA Status: Exempt

    Position Overview:Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for formulating and implementing Financial planning practices, procedures and programs and managing all aspects of financial results to plan. The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis manages the financial model, interfaces with the Chief Financial Officer and other leaders of the Company in multi-year financial planning, builds new systems to create efficiencies in the development of accurate models and assesses the results of actual results to modeled results. This position also owns the Team Leader financial reporting system and assessment of overall results and trends. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, have excellent communication skills and exhibit strict confidentiality.

    Specifically, the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis will manage the following functions, acting as a strategic business partner in every aspect of financial planning while incorporating the vision, values, and culture of Sport Clips.

    Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)

    Drive the financial planning of the Company by analyzing its current and past trends in key performance indicators, including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, labor and capital expenditures.

    Owns the Company’s multi-year financial planning process utilizing driver-based forecasting models to predict operating results.

    Creates specific annual plans through engagement with the Leadership Team and functional leaders; documents all significant assumptions.

    Evaluates and implements automated systems that leverage technology and enhance efficiency.

    Completes rolling forecasts and regularly reports updates.

    Delivers regular, standardized reporting to the Leadership Team.

    Leads in-depth financial and trend analysis for key business indicators. Delivers budget to actual reporting monthly in coordination with Sport Clips’ Controller.

    Creates insightful analysis of results and identifies areas of opportunity to the Leadership Team.

    Generates business models and analyses around the decision-making process for new opportunities; evaluates investment levels and return on investment.

    Provides evaluation and response to “what-if” scenarios.

    Leads and/or participates in cross functional-teams to achieve goals.

    Owns the Team Leader generic financial model and establishes the envisioned Team Leader financial reporting system.

    Provides analysis and insight into Team Leader profitability.

    Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements.

    Produce monthly business review & variance reporting and communicate results to senior leadership (both monthly and on an ad hoc basis).

    Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing the cause of unexpected variances.

    Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

    Requirements:

    Thorough knowledge of financial modeling, reporting, and analysis with excellent accounting and finance skills.

    Active listening skills to turn desired details into actionable assumptions and plans.

    Ability to turn data into information, thoughtful analysis and reasoned conclusions.

    Excellent relationship building and presentation skills; interacts confidently with the Leadership Team.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

    Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.

    Exceptional analytical skills and while paying attention to details.

    High integrity individual skilled in the development of trust and the ability to work with a high level of confidentiality.

    Must be able to thrive in a multi-location environment.

    Physical Demands:

    Must have and maintain the physical, sensory, emotional and mental abilities necessary for effective communication in person, in writing and by telephone.

    Must have excellent memory skills; be able to organize thoughts and activities; perform intermediate to advanced mathematical computations and articulate clearly.

    Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends, participate in occasional overnight travel, and provide own transportation during performance of duty.

    Must be emotionally mature and able to handle stress appropriately.

    Education and Experience:

    Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, a Master’s and CPA degree is preferred.

    Minimum of seven years of progressive experience in financial planning, modeling and analysis positions with middle market to large entities incorporating multiple lines of business.

    Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.

    Previous experience leading the implementation of planning and analysis software is required.
