    Job Title: Manager of Operations Analysis

    Classification: Exempt

    Reports to: Director of FP&A

    Position Overview:

    This position is responsible for leading analytical support for two areas across Sport Clips; company-owned stores, and national franchised stores. The qualified individual is the analytical business partner leveraging data to drive informed operational decisions, sales, and optimize profit. Working with traditional finance responsibilities (P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and close/variance analysis) and interacting with all segments of the organization.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)

    Provides operational insight into the business through reporting and data analysis allowing leaders and executive team to better understand and manage the business.

    Serves as a bridge between finance and operations by illuminating performance gaps and realities.

    Directing and supporting franchise strategy planning and performance management.

    Develop and track key financial and business metrics.

    Conduct business analyses, evaluate performance, trends and examine store profitability to determine priority and most effective approach with franchisees.

    Develop and execute strategies for improving operating performance.

    Coordinates and completes store level budgets, forecasts; monitors and manages risks and opportunities.

    Develop operational reporting and KPIs to analyze and optimize performance.

    Utilize and monitor systems to ensure the accuracy of the data.

    Develop and maintain weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational reporting and oversee execution and measure results.

    Ongoing evaluation of business needs and streamlining systems/processes for efficiency.

    Utilize management information tools and analyze reports to quickly and proactively identify and address trends and opportunities affecting company performance.

    Monitor and manage wage and hour analysis and ensure adherence to applicable laws.

    Partner with IT to design and implement data warehouse and BI tools.

    Participates in the development of new analytics and reporting to help drive growth, profitability, and cash flow, driving accountability for financial and operational results.

    Manage two or more direct reports.

    Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

    Requirements:

    Analytical: Prior experience in business intelligence and analytics, model building, business consulting, financial planning, and strategy.

    Financial: Thorough knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and variance analysis.

    Oral and written communication: The individual must be extremely articulate and concise that influences positive outcomes in challenging situations. Is seen as an active relationship builder in which collaboration and influencing skills are actively utilized to assist with data-based decision making.

    Project Management Skills: Skilled in strategizing, planning, decision making, facilitation or change, and process improvement. Ability to partner cross-functionally to develop a strategy and deliver strategic initiatives.

    Owner-Mentality: Has the confidence and skills to own problems, resolving them as they arise wisely, efficiently, and with little need for hand-holding or guidance.

    Computer: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Visual Basic preferred, but not required. Above average excel skills.

    Physical Demands:

    Must have and maintain the physical, sensory, emotional, and mental abilities necessary for effective communication in person, in writing and by telephone.

    Must have excellent memory skills; be able to organize thoughts and activities; perform intermediate to advanced mathematical computations and articulate clearly.

    Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends, participate in occasional overnight travel, and provide own transportation during the performance of duty.

    Must be emotionally mature and able to handle stress appropriately.

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

    Minimum five years' experience as a financial analyst or similar analytical role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Experience with scaling companies, multi-unit, and franchising highly desirable.

    Expert level using Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint).
