Position Title: Salon Area Coach - Training Services

Reports To: Regional Director

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for delivering training to improve Manager and Stylist productivity, product knowledge, operational, and technical skills that ensure all salon staff delivers a Championship Haircut experience with each Sport Clips customer utilizing the 5 Point Play.

The position will provide ongoing technical and/or operations support to Area Developers, Coaches, Business Directors, Managers, and Stylists, to help ensure the continued success of each store within an assigned market.

Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)

Schedule, facilitate, and train (New Coaches, Team Leaders, Managers, Team Members) on Sport Clips All-Star Haircutting system and 5 Point Play.

Coaches and provides feedback to employees to improve brand delivery and salon operations.

Deliver training with high technical quality and strong knowledge of salon operations.

Implement training materials and provide on-going training and technical educational support.

Maintain and audit development logs for consistency and company requirements.

Relationship management through routine visits with Team Leaders and Managers within assigned region to provide technical support, coaching, identify training needs.

Interpret and convey store analytics to support the assigned market.

Support Business Directors with various tasks and procedures related to new store openings.

Conduct success checks to partner with Area Developer's regarding store performance.

Support Sport Clips values through the reinforcement and use of recognition programs.

Demonstrate Star Level performance when working on the floor by keeping technical skills current through in-store cutting, continuing education and training, and attendance at required internal development events such as the National and Coaches Huddles.

Facilitate new or updated Sport Clips programs as needed.

Manage schedule to maximize availability to travel.

Manage budget throughout the year to ensure expenses are reasonable.

Physical Demands:

Position requires regular moderate activity such as standing or sitting for extended periods, frequent lifting of 20-30 lbs, and frequent bending.

Must have and maintain the physical, sensory, emotional and mental abilities necessary for effective communication in person, in writing and by telephone.

Travel: Up to 75% and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Education and Experience:

Current cosmetology or barber license.

3-5 years of previous haircutting experience.

Mastery of the Sport Clips Systems is a plus.

Preferred: 6 months of prior experience with Sport Clips.

Preferred: Previous retail Salon industry work experience.
