  • Responsibilities

    As part of the IT function, the Project Manager is responsible for developing and managing organizational wide technology projects within time, scope and budget. You will address business needs by evaluating current business requirements and help Sport Clips identify the right technology and vendor solutions for the business. This role will manage multiple projects with differing timelines and objectives and will be interacting both with our internal Team Members and our Team Leader community in the field.

    Responsibilities

    Accountability to create & manage project plans including the creation of project milestones

    Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

    Develop comprehensive project plans to monitor and track progress

    Defines project schedules, assigns project tasks to IT resources, and monitors progress

    Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques

    Monitors and manages the scope of multiple projects, including identifying bottlenecks that may affect the overall project timelines

    Align project objectives with company goals, and ensure the IT project team is clear on objectives

    Lead a formalized process of issue identification and resolution when required

    Fosters open communication with Team Members, project, stakeholders and sponsors

    Report and escalate to management when appropriate

    Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

    Communicate timely metrics on key IT objectives for the organization on a predetermined schedule

    Adhere to company policies and procedures

    Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Competencies

    Proven experience with project management tools and methodologies; leveraging these tools to drive projects to meet milestones and budgets

    Demonstrated aptitude for providing project management for large scale IT projects

    Experience with managing multiple, critical, IT projects for the organization

    Demonstrated skills in requirements gathering, resource organization, project/task prioritization and schedule development

    Demonstrated critical thinking skills

    Strong influencing skills, at all levels of an organization to include C-suite

    Required Knowledge / Experience: SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

    Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand

    The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and be adaptable to change.

    Requires a unique combination of business acumen, technical expertise, leadership, and communication

    Deep knowledge of IT processes and the common terminology that is used while working in an IT centric department

    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: must have team/collaboration experience

    The ability to work independently and within a team

    Excellent analytical and synthesis skills

    Time management and prioritization

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    5 years of Project Manager experience

    Project Management Certification or proven working experience in project management

    B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent field

    Knowledge of point-of-sale software, is a plus
