    Job Title: Construction Project Manager

    Classification: Exempt

    Reports to: Chief Development Officer

    Position Overview:

    The primary purpose of the Construction Project Manager is to take ownership of all franchise-related development and remodel projects and coordinate with external stakeholders in the opening of 90 new locations and remodels each year for new and existing Sport Clips locations. The individual will work closely with stakeholders to ensure locations open according to a specified timeline and scope meeting brand requirements. Also, they are responsible for supervising the maintenance and facility management of corporate-owned stores and office buildings at headquarters.

    This position maintains and distributes store design and construction standards and processes and has a high level of responsibility and accountability. The capacity to build and maintain strong working relationships with multi-unit franchise owners and brand support is essential.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)

    Construction Management: Subject Matter expert for all things related to physical buildout of stores.

    Point of contact for vendor relationships on buildout guidelines and store plan specifications.

    Updates to Store plan templates.

    Review and approve proposals for storefront signs to ensure consistency with brand standards.

    Construction project manager for company-owned locations.

    o Coordinate the internal support team with buildouts and conduct on-site reviews.

    o Manage the project timeline, plan development, updates, general contractors, landlords, material suppliers, and communicating the status to support team and others.

    Supplier Management:

    Manage buildout and construction-related suppliers.

    Evaluate suppliers for logistical support, quality assurance, and cost-effectiveness.

    Monitor and address suppliers and store equipment for emerging trends/issues.

    Request for Proposal (RFP) process for lighting, cabinetry, graphics, flooring, vacuums, etc.

    Product Development and Testing:

    Work with buildout suppliers to develop and test new or updated items, based on user feedback, material updates, supply chain concerns, or company initiatives.

    Ensure testing evaluation is objective, collects desired information, and enables a full assessment of testing results. Coordinate with users on the results of field tests.

    Ensure logistical details are in place for implementing approved store equipment changes.

    Internal System Support and Supervision:

    Resource for support team members, area developers, and team leaders on construction standards, suppliers, equipment, and requests for exceptions.

    New resource development (e.g., installation or maintenance information).

    Forecast tracking and monitoring of store dashboard and trackers.

    Cost reduction analysis and continuous process improvements.

    Create, maintain, and distribute various store design and construction standards.

    o Store opening playbook, installation manual, remodel guide, franchise renewals/transfers upgrade requirements, and online huddle store design and construction pages.

    Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

    Physical Demands:

    Must have and maintain the physical, sensory, emotional, and mental abilities necessary for effective communication in person, in writing and by telephone.

    Must have excellent memory skills; be able to organize thoughts and activities; perform intermediate to advanced mathematical computations and articulate clearly.

    Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends, participate in occasional overnight travel, and provide own transportation during the performance of duty.

    Must be emotionally mature and able to handle stress appropriately.

    Willing to travel 15% of the time. Valid driver’s license and insurable.

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree (required).

    Related construction or logistics experience: 3-5 years (preferred).
