    Sport Clips Haircuts in Georgetown, Texas is searching for an Accounting Supervisor to join its financial team. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this position is responsible for bank reconciliations, preparing journal entries and reconciliations for monthly general ledger close, performing financial analysis, promoting sound accounting practices while assisting in the delivery of timely accurate financial statements and completing special projects as directed. This individual will demonstrate problem-solving skills, supervisory skills, be extremely diligent, organized, motivated, demonstrate the ability to effectively interact with junior staff and senior management.

    The ideal candidate will excel in the following areas:

    Preparation of general ledger entries and account reconciliations for month-end closing in a timely manner.

    Responsibility for monthly key vendor calculations and general ledger coding.

    Full cycle accounting and month-end close ownership of subsidiary brands.

    Oversees inventory levels, physical inventory adjustments and ensuring compliance with policy.

    Approval and analysis of all Team Member expense reimbursements.

    Management of the fixed asset module and procedures.

    Maintains and enhances effective internal controls.

    Provides guidance to Team Leaders on accounting best practices.

    Develops processes and procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.

    Reviews monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained.

    Analyzes budget to actual differences and can present findings in a meaningful manner.

    Mentor, train and develop accounting staff in ways that are consistent with our vision and values.

    Recommends changes to improve systems and financial performance.

    Represents finance on cross-functional teams to complete projects as required.

    Position Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Accounting or Finance required, Masters in Accounting with CPA preferred.

    Familiar with ASC 606 and ASC 842.

    Minimum of three years of relevant experience.

    QuickBooks experience preferred.

    Great Plains Dynamics experience preferred.

    Excellent interpersonal skills.

    Strong project management and time management skills.

    Self-motivated and driven to succeed.

    Able to manage multiple projects at once.

    Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with the financial leadership team.

    Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Word, Excel and Power Point.

    Excellent organizational skills.

    Flexible and enthusiastic.
