Job Title: Bartender
Department: Bar/Beverage Service
Reports To: FOH Manager
Job Summary:
1972 Pub is looking for a passionate and energetic Bartender to join our team! As a Bartender, you will play a key role in creating a positive and memorable experience for our guests, who are here to celebrate and support women's sports. You will be responsible for crafting and serving a variety of beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to a fun, inclusive, and team-oriented atmosphere. We pride ourselves on our teamwork and are looking for someone who is excited to collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including classic cocktails, beer, wine, and signature drinks, with precision and attention to detail.
Take food orders and deliver food to guests in a timely manner.
Provide exceptional guest service, demonstrating a friendly and welcoming demeanor, anticipating needs, and engaging in genuine conversation.
Take beverage orders accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
Check identification to verify legal drinking age.
Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including bar top, equipment, and glassware.
Restock bar inventory, including liquor, beer, wine, and bar supplies.
Collaborate with barbacks and servers to ensure efficient service and smooth workflow.
Work closely with other team members to set up the bar, prepare garnishes, and complete opening/closing duties.
Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines, including responsible alcohol service practices.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by being a reliable, respectful, and proactive team player.
Assist with bussing and cleaning tables as needed.
Learn and maintain an understanding of women’s sports.
Various tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Passion for women's sports.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
TABC certification required.
Food Handler certification required.
Team Player: Must be a reliable, respectful, and proactive team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate with others.
Communication: The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members.
Adaptability: The ability to be flexible in the task assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Bartender in a high-volume environment.
Proven knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
Experience in a sports bar or similar environment.
Knowledge of craft cocktails and mixology.
