    WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

    The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for expanding Spot's enterprise sales customer base. This strategic hunter does this using prospecting strategies to identify potential partners and initiate the first outreach. The BDR's goal is to lead build, help book meetings and fill the pipeline for the sales team.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
    • Contact potential clients through strategic cold calls and emails
    • Analyze market reports to determine where to seek out new business/lead generate
    • Effectively “hook” the interest of prospects and effectively hand these warm leads off to the full-cycle sales team

    A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE

    • 60-100 outbounds calls per day with email follow-ups
    • Lead building and brief research of each prospective partner & stakeholders
    • Perfecting your opening value statement and engagement questions (The “hook”)
    • Keeping CRM up to date with pertinent logging and data
    • Meaningful, effective handoffs and appointments scheduled to full-cycle reps
