POSITION DESCRIPTION

Spotlight Events, Inc. is an employee-owned National Dance Competition company with a focus on excellence in everything we do; our culture is inclusive and inspiring. Travel is a requirement and candidate should expect, on average, 8-12 travel assignments throughout the year, the bulk of which will occur during our in-season of January – July.

We are seeking an energetic and responsible candidate with superior customer service skills to oversee the inventory and replenishment of our stockroom and guide the team of Sales Associates at our competitions. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail operations, with emphasis on inventory control and replenishment and be accustomed to working in a highly collaborative and communicative team environment. This position is a hybrid role with office hours and on-event duties (working the Spotlight Boutique at our dance competitions).

PRIMARY OFFICE RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Manage warehouse stockroom including merchandise, visual props, marketing and fixtures in order to maximize sales and productivity.
• Work with Boutique leadership to ensure all aspects of replenishment are properly executed to include accurate reporting, filling road cases, transferring merchandise, and keeping the stockroom clean and organized.
• Execute ticketing and markdowns of all merchandise.
• Fulfill and manage online orders and shipment processing.
• Communicate merchandising opportunities to store leadership as identified through replenishing size specific quantities throughout the store: recommend and execute merchandising adjustments.
• Perform other related duties as assigned

PRIMARY EVENT RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Deliver exceptional service by engaging with customers with an enthusiastic and positive attitude
• Operate cash register, process all sales+payments and balance drawers end of day
• Responsible for merchandising displays including setup, take down, restock and organization
• Work with the team to achieve sales goals
• Willingness to assume event-related duties as assigned in support of dance competition activities

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES 

• Previous retail & stock experience
• Sales, merchandising and cash handling experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills specifically with leadership team and co-workers required
• Ability to stand and move about for extended periods of time with only short rest breaks; reach, bend, stoop, etc. to handle products required
• Ability to lift cartons weighing up to 50lbs.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast‐paced and deadline‐oriented environment required
• Must be reliable, punctual and flexible to adapting business needs
