    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    Spotlight Events, Inc. is an employee-owned National Dance Competition company with a focus on excellence in everything we do; our culture is inclusive and inspiring. Travel is a requirement and candidates should expect, on average, 12+ driving assignments throughout the year, the bulk of which will occur during our in-season of January-July. 

    We are seeking an energetic and career minded candidate with superior organizational skills, attention to detail and follow-through to work in our Production Department. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of freight and fleet management, as well as travel and is accustomed to working in a highly collaborative and communicative team environment but with the ability to also work independently. This position is a hybrid role with office hours and on-event duties (working as a driver and event support staff).

    The Production Specialist position will report directly to the Production Manager.  This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual possessing these skills to be a part of a talented, committed and innovative team.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Oversight of truck rental process, cultivate relationship with vendor(s)
    • Ensuring DOT & FMCSA compliance
    • Report Oregon mileage and taxes
    • Assist in hiring of new drivers
    • Truck arrival/departure scheduling
    • Oversight of driver training and seasonal contracted drivers

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS + COMPETENCIES 

    • Ability to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
    • CLASS A CDL DRIVER'S LICENSE
    • Experience working with networked computers, with a basic understanding and competency using current software and hardware
    • The ability to meet deadlines and prioritize conflicting demands according to multiple client or team needs is essential
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization
    • Oversight of employees in professional setting
    • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
    • Proactive attitude
    • Ability to adhere to the values and mission of Spotlight Events, Inc.
    • Must be reliable, punctual, and flexible to adapting business needs
