    Job Overview

    We are seeking a knowledgeable and safety-focused Spray Technician to support golf course maintenance operations. This role is responsible for applying pesticides and fertilizers, maintaining application equipment, and ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.

    The Spray Technician will coordinate and perform chemical applications across greens, tees, and fairways while maintaining accurate records and ensuring proper handling, storage, and usage of chemicals. This position requires attention to detail, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. Perform other duties as assigned.

    Experience Requirements

    • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Spray Technician, preferably in a golf course or turf management environment
    • Experience applying pesticides and fertilizers in accordance with safety and regulatory standards
    • Experience operating and calibrating spray equipment and related machinery
    • Experience maintaining chemical inventory and application records
    • Experience performing equipment inspections, cleaning, and preventative maintenance
    • Knowledge of safety procedures related to chemical handling and application
    • Basic computer skills for tracking and reporting
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols

    Experience Preferences

    • Experience working in golf course maintenance or turf management
    • Familiarity with OSHA standards and Hazard Communication requirements
    • Experience identifying turf, pest, or nutrient issues and recommending corrective actions
    • Experience supervising or guiding other staff in safe chemical handling practices

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds or more as needed
    • Ability to perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, and reaching
    • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and exposure to chemicals, noise, and dust

    Education Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent

    Education Preferences

    • Additional training or certifications in turf management, horticulture, or related field
