    Passionate about fitness and wellness? The Springfield JCC is hiring!

    We are looking for motivated and energetic fitness professionals to join our team.

    All employees of the Springfield JCC are responsible for creating relationships with the members, to add value to their membership, and to enhance their sense of belonging with the JCC community.

    The Fitness Center Attendant supports a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable workout experience for all members and guests. This individual provides excellent customer service and ensures the overall safety, upkeep, and cleanliness of the JCC Fitness Center.

    Skills

    • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills

    • Dependable, organized, self-motivated, and team-oriented

    • Ability to react calmly and effectively in an emergency situation

    • Knowledge of of standard practices in gyms and fitness centers

    • Ability to understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures

    • Ability to work a flexible schedule

    ** Qualifications**

    • High school diploma required. Wellness and recreation experience preferred.

    • Must hold current CPR/AED and First Aid certification

    • Must be 18 years or older

    The Group Exercise Instructor is responsible for leading adult group fitness sessions that contribute to each member’s health and wellness goals. This people-oriented position plays a vital role in engaging and retaining JCC members as well as facilitating a safe, motivating, and effective workout.

    • Strong interpersonal skills to build client relationships through outstanding customer service

    • Ability to teach to a variety of ages and abilities

    • Enthusiastic, energetic, and motivational with groups

    • Recognized competency in field of instructional expertise

    • Detail oriented and well organized

    ** Qualifications**

    • Must have current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification

    • Current nationally accredited group exercise certification (ACSM, ACE, AFFA, etc.) or specialty certification required

    • Previous experience in teaching group fitness classes

    • Ability to understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
