We are looking for an experienced Software Quality Assurance Manager to build, manage, and develop a talented and experienced team of quality engineers and SDETs as well as a supporting QA team offshore.

In this leadership role, you will tackle challenging, novel situations daily and have the opportunity to work with multiple technical teams across the company. Automated testing of our software products requires solving complex problems at the intersection of enterprise software, computational geometry, machine learning, IoT, web and mobile applications, and on-premises devices. To be successful, you will need to attract, develop, and retain high-performing engineers, foster a culture of engineering excellence and accountability, and demonstrate critical thinking and strong judgment to make the right decisions and well-informed trade-offs. You will work with product managers, engineers, business leaders, and key partners to advance the company’s approach to testing our integrated software products at scale. You will be responsible for leading a team in design, development, testing, and deployment of these services. You will also be responsible for establishing, monitoring and upholding operational excellence expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Recruit, hire, mentor, and coach staff at different levels of experience and across sites
•  Work with senior engineers to define and drive the multi-year vision for test automation
• Manage and execute project initiatives to deliver robust and scalable solutions against this vision
• Work closely with software development managers, senior engineers, product managers, and technical program managers across the company to influence product development and support
•  Participate in strategic planning of technical and business goals with team, management, and customers.
•  Establish and improve processes to drive quality upstream and rely on automation to drive efficiency in testing practices across the company
•  Own and drive operational excellence and improvements in team processes

QUALIFICATIONS:

•  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; graduate degree preferred
• 6 years professional experience in software quality assurance or software product development
• 3 years leading software quality teams that build and own test automation frameworks
• Knowledge of QA methodology and tools, software testing standards, methods and conventions, and the product development lifecycle
• Experience in hardware/software integration or IoT preferred
• Demonstrated strength in attracting and developing, retaining world-class engineers
• Experience leading and working with global development teams
• Track record of driving and achieving quality goals for complex technical product deliveries
• Solid software development background including design patterns, data structures, and test-driven development
• Experience in engineering and operational excellence and continuous process improvement
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly explain technical concepts and implications clearly to audiences from engineers to non-technical leaders.
