Job Description

We are searching for an innovative, creative problem solver to join and help grow our consulting startup as a project lead. This hands-on role will be responsible for leading a client project based in Houston, TX from gathering requirements to delivery of the final solution. As the project lead, you will oversee its development, present progress reports to the client and work directly with end users to scope and deliver solutions that make their work lives easier. You should be comfortable performing a variety of tasks such as leading communication with client users to understand their needs, designing solutions to streamline their processes and implementing the optimal solution using code or no-code tools.

To be successful in this role, you should have a keen interest in solving problems and improving systems, while possessing the ability to work with a variety of available technologies to increase automation and optimize workflows.

PROJECT LEAD RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Determining project requirements and developing project plans & schedules.
• Designing solutions that meet client needs and achieving buy-in from end users and stakeholders.
• Implementing and improving solutions through client feedback gathering and iteration.
• Hands-on development and/or delegation of tasks to achieving daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
• Liaising with team members, management, and clients to ensure projects are completed to standard.
• Identifying risks and forming contingency plans as soon as possible.
• Analyzing existing operations and scheduling training sessions and meetings to discuss improvements.
• Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
• Writing progress reports and delivering presentations to the relevant stakeholders.

PROJECT LEAD REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in a client-facing consulting role, particularly in an enterprise environment, would be advantageous.
• Experience with API integration into Tableau or similar Business Intelligence tool a plus.
• Working knowledge of enterprise ERP systems such as SAP is preferred, but not required.
• Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
