    Spruce Grove is looking for someone to join our Accounting team. The ideal candidate will be ready to take on the fun roll of being our Accounts Payable Coordinator. This position involves providing financial administrative and clerical support to organization. The role is to complete payments and control expenses by recurring payments, plus processing, and verifying and reconciling invoices.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Match invoices to receiving documents.

    Post invoices into the computer system.

    Generate accounts payable and refund checks.

    Research vendor statements, phone calls and discrepancies.

    File paid and unpaid invoices and statements.

    Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.

    Distributes signed checks as required.

    Assists Assistant Controller and Controller

    Prepares cleared checks for storage.

    Assists in monthly closings.

    Performs filing and coping.

    Perform a variety of clerical duties

    SDA’s (sodas) – Check all incoming SDA’s from property managers. Reconcile services rendered; posted payments, security deposits are correct according to move-out date. Process to either send a refund check to tenant or collect from tenant.

    Utilities and Spreadsheets – Reconcile utility bills for all units at all properties according to current and prior month usage. Post all payments to designated spreadsheets. to keep track of monthly expenses for all units including exterior payments. If significant increases, notify property manager.

    Experian Reports – Match up monthly report/invoice and property credit report requests for possible tenants and determine usage and/or expense per property per month.

    Requirements

    Able to work in team environment

    Detailed oriented

    Ability to work well under pressure and to work within short deadlines.

    Strong understanding of accounts payable.

    Must have sound accounting training and knowledge.

    Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.

    Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. With a strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to details.

    Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.

    Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Sage, Mass 200 a plus)

    Yardi experience preferred

    Accounting in Residential a plus
