Job Description

Our firm is currently seeking an Associate Bookkeeper to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and examining financial records for our clients. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Obtain primary financial data for accounting records
• Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
• Record bills and process payments to vendors
• Prepare invoices and send collections reminders to customers
• Perform data entry and administrative duties 
• Reconcile accounts
• Prepare financial reports
• Maintain historical records by filing documents

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in accounting, finance, administration, or other related fields
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Proven ability to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational skills
• Customer service orientation
• Excellent communication skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and Excel
• Working knowledge of Quickbooks Online and/or QBO certification a plus

• Work is 90% remote and 10% on-site

ABOUT OUR FIRM:

We are a boutique bookkeeping firm, and we tailor our services to the needs of our clients. We do everything from routine monthly bookkeeping to complex custom reporting and audit work, and everything in between. Our clients are small businesses with 0-10 employees, and many of our clients are creatives including visual artists, photographers, film producers and design studios. We currently have about 30 clients and are quickly expanding. Right now our small team consists of the owner/principal bookkeeper Ander, our senior associate bookkeeper Rachel and our associate bookkeeper Ruby, whose position we are filling as she is leaving for grad school. We are all artists, and it’s a lovely working environment.
