    As an ACCOUNTANT in our Operations Team, you will play a key role as a member of the finance and accounting team responsible for producing accurate and timely monthly financial statements and supporting the annual audit.  

    Responsibilities

    • Primary Objective: Assisting in the month end close and preparation of financial statements, including:
    • Preparing and posting journal entries and accruals
    • Reconciling various balance sheet accounts
    • Assisting with preparation of B&O and personal property tax filings
    • Preparing monthly A/R aging reports and supporting collection efforts
    • Maintaining and reconciling fixed asset schedules
    • Performing monthly balance sheet and income statement variance analyses
    • Reviewing expense reports and assisting users with issues and compliance to policy
    • Assisting with annual audit and state tax filing processes
    • Continuously strive for process improvements and efficiencies
    • Work on eventual conversion and migration of accounting system
    • Participating in special projects

    Requirements

    • Minimum 2-3 years accounting relevant experience. 
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, applying tact and professionalism
    • Client service orientation
    • Strong team player and collaborator
    • Outstanding organizational and follow-up skills
    • Self-starter, takes initiative, ability to work independently
    • Strong Excel and Office 365 skills
    • Technologically adept. Ability to quickly learn new systems and tools
    • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and implement process improvement
