    Job Description:

    Key individual in the development of manufacturing processes for new product introduction, documenting process changes, driving process / fixture improvements, driving lead and cycle time improvements, cost of quality (COQ), and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) actions.

    Responsibilities

    • Resolve day to day manufacturing issues to meet quality and delivery requirements
    • Participate in LEAN initiative and engage Six Sigma tools for process improvements
    • Develop and implement process improvements to reduce costs and cycles
    • Design necessary fixtures and tooling for manufacturing KPI's and for process improvements
    • Designs, develops, and sustains industrial control system hardware, software, and interfacing systems
    • PLC code design, feature deployment, Design of Industrial Control schematics and wiring diagrams
    • Participate in EHS related actions
    • Interface with Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, Marketing, and Suppliers to complete projects to meet production, quality, cost savings, EHS, and new product development goals within schedule and budget
    • Document procedures in support of manufacturing
    • Create and review ERP bills of material and manufacturing methods
    • Evaluation of processes, systems, and tools for effectiveness
    • Works with operators to refine and streamline the specific areas within a value system in support of leadership initiatives
    • Serves as a safety promotor and business culture champion

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
    • Experience in electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
    • Knowledge of tool and fixture design
    • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing
    • Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and provide efficient solutions
    • PLC Programming (Allen Bradley, Automation Direct, etc.)
    • 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
    • UL508A – Industrial Controls Standard
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Able to communicate in oral and written form
    • Electrical and Automation Systems Troubleshooting
    • Hands-on tools and equipment fabrication
