    Job Description

    SquareTrade (Allstate Protection Plans) is growing rapidly. We currently serve over 130mm customers across more than a dozen countries and have grown 4x over the past 3 years. We see massive future growth potential in the North American mobile space and are looking for a senior leader to oversee our partnerships and business development strategy with mobile operators, MVNOs, and OEMs. This role will be responsible for forging relationships, identifying impactful partnership opportunities, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop innovative solutions. You will draw upon your extensive network and business savvy to become a trusted partner to the largest players in the wireless / mobility space and unlock potentially transformative growth opportunities.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Build and execute against a multi-year partnerships strategy for the wireless / mobility space in North America
    • Lead partnership and new business development engagements with new partners / prospects
    • Develop strong ongoing relationships and establish a regular cadence for engaging horizontally and vertically within key partner organizations
    • Understand and synthesize broad industry dynamics and client-specific pain points to uncover new business opportunities
    • Identify and forge non-revenue partnerships that enhance our competitive positioning and differentiate our product offerings in the market
    • Work closely with internal teams, such as product, operations, legal, engineering, marketing, and field sales to develop end-to-end partnership solutions
    • Use your commercial savvy to design and negotiate mutually beneficial program and pricing structures
    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure appropriate post-deal implementation/integration plans are put in place in the course of the deal process
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 10-15 years of partnerships or business development experience; 5+ years experience leading complex enterprise sales cycles
    • 7-10 years working for or with mobile operators, service providers, or OEMs
    • Excellent relationship building skills and an extensive network within the North American telecom industry
    • Track record of consistently exceeding partnership and growth goals
    • Ability to build credibility and influence within large, matrixed organizations at all levels
    • Strong presentation skills and executive presence
    • Proven ability to get up to speed quickly on a highly technical and complex business problems
    • Self-directed, highly motivated, and results-driven approach
