Job Description

The Accounts Payable (A/P) Manager is responsible for verifying prices and processing all invoices for Squires Lumber. Also responsible for updating cartage reports daily, account for all cartage sheets, enter ACE statements, review vendor statements and speak with vendors regarding statements.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

• Match company PO with vendor invoices to verify pricing and follow up with purchasing if different
• Enter matched and verified invoices into computer
• Enter overhead invoices into computer
• Enter invoice information into cartage sheets daily; ensure all cartage sheets are accounted for
• Prepare, pull and run company checks
• File all A/P paperwork in an orderly fashion
• Prepare credit applications for new vendors
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment information and resolve any issues they may have in a timely manner
• Enter information into Accounts Receivable month end report and Bank Collateral Report
• Coordinate and schedule mailing of checks
• Represent Squires Lumber with the utmost professionalism
• Provide exceptional customer service
• All other duties/special projects as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma
• Working knowledge of Accounts Payable
• Strong PC skills
• Strong work ethic
• Team player
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Availability to work days, evening, and weekend hours if needed
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
