  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Lead AV system design efforts for 3–5 projects per month , ensuring accuracy, scalability, and adherence to industry standards.

    • Develop comprehensive design packages including signal flow diagrams, rack elevations, device specifications, and cable schedules.

    • Collaborate closely with sales, project managers, and installation teams to ensure design intent is accurately executed in the field.

    • Conduct site surveys and needs assessments to validate system requirements.

    • Present design concepts and technical details to internal teams and clients as needed.

    • Work with vendors and manufacturers to ensure product compatibility and current technology alignment.

    • Provide engineering support throughout the project lifecycle, including design revisions, change orders, and commissioning assistance.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • CTS-D and/or CTS-I certification (active or in progress).

    • 5+ years of experience as an AV Design Engineer in commercial integration.

    • Demonstrated experience designing projects within the $100k–$1M+ range.

    • Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, D-Tools, Bluebeam, and/or Visio.

    • Strong understanding of AV systems including:

      • UC/VC platforms

      • DSPs (QSC, Biamp, BSS, etc.)

      • Control systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX)

      • Video distribution technologies

      • Audio system design

    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

    • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

    • Experience designing for commercial markets such as corporate, education, government, and healthcare.

    • Familiarity with networked AV, AV-over-IP, and emerging technologies.

    • Manufacturer certifications (Crestron, Q-SYS, Extron, Biamp, etc.).
