  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    1.) Support valuation engagements for business units, investments, intangibles, and financial instruments across a variety of use cases (M&A, financial reporting, tax, strategic planning, etc.).

    2.) Power user of developed complex financial models, including DCF, market multiples, and option pricing methodologies.

    3.) Conduct industry, market, and company-specific research to support valuation assumptions and benchmark data.

    4.) Prepare high-quality valuation reports and presentations for executive leadership, auditors, investors, and regulators.

    5.) Support financial due diligence and deal structuring in collaboration with corporate development, FP&A, and legal teams.

    6.) Prepare materials for lead to advise internal stakeholders on valuation-related topics such as goodwill impairment testing, purchase price allocations, and investment performance.

    7.) Stay current on relevant accounting standards, valuation methodologies, and regulatory guidance (e.g., ASC 820, ASC 805, ASC 350, IRS, SEC).

    8.) Collaborate with external valuation consultants and auditors to align methodologies and resolve technical matters.

    9.) Prepare consolidated business development workstream tracking and presentation materials to the Executive Leadership Team for visibility across all business functions.

    10.) Research business development opportunities based on 2030 strategic business plan.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field
    • Master’s degree or advanced coursework in Economics/Finance. For example, one listing required a post-graduate degree in Economics preferred
    • CFA, CPA, ASA, ABV, CVA or equivalent professional credentials preferred
    • 3+ years of experience in valuation, economic modelling/analysis, financial modelling, or a related quantitative role
    • Strong proficiency in valuation techniques/methodologies: e.g., discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable, precedent transactions, option pricing, etc
    • Experience in building and maintaining financial or economic models (Excel, statistical software, econometric tools) and analyzing large data sets
    • Familiarity with relevant software & tools: Excel (advanced), possibly R, Python, Power BI/Tableau, statistical packages
    • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret economic indicators, financial data, market trends
    • Ability to communicate complex technical or valuation/economic concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
    • Good project management skills: managing multiple deliverables, deadlines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams
    • Commercial/business awareness understanding how valuation/economic outcomes impact business decisions, strategy, or transactions
    • Attention to detail and strong work ethic with the ability to challenge assumptions, ensure accuracy, and maintain high standards
