Our client is a well-established, privately held organization recognized as a national leader in its niche retail and distribution industry, known for its quality, stability, and innovation. The company is currently in the midst of a large-scale digital transformation initiative that spans eCommerce modernization, workflow and warehouse automation, and operational process redesign across multiple business units.
Currently, they are seeking a senior-level Business Analyst with Project Management experience to help drive one of their most business-critical warehouse and inventory management initiatives. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of operations and technology—translating complex business needs into actionable project deliverables that will modernize internal systems and eliminate highly manual workflows.
This is a Contract to Hire position (around 3 months contract before converting full-time) and will be based hybrid on-site at their Exton, PA office location.
The Role You’ll Play
In this role, you will serve as the bridge between operations, IT, and business stakeholders—helping to define, organize, and execute the strategy for a multi-phase project focused on improving how products are bundled, tracked, and managed through the company’s inventory systems. You’ll work closely with internal leadership and their warehouse consultant to gather requirements and translate operational goals into system requirements and ensure successful implementation.
Once requirements are defined, you will manage the project through execution—coordinating tasks, tracking milestones, and ensuring alignment across teams. This is not a purely “process-heavy” PMO role; rather, it’s a hands-on, hybrid BA/PM position where success depends on curiosity, ownership, and the ability to bring structure to complex, cross-functional work.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with business stakeholders and consultants to gather, document, and translate operational requirements into functional specifications.
Lead requirement workshops, process mapping, and system walkthroughs across warehouse and product management teams.
Collaborate with IT teams to design system enhancements and modifications within Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and related applications.
Break down the overall initiative into manageable project phases, define deliverables, and track execution progress.
Develop process documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria that support both business and technical teams.
Coordinate and communicate status updates, risks, and dependencies to key stakeholders.
Manage project tasks post-discovery, ensuring follow-through and accountability without heavy reliance on formal methodologies (Agile, etc.)
Act as the liaison between the warehouse consultant and technical teams to ensure clarity, accuracy, and timely delivery.
Background Profile:
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in business analysis and project management, with experience supporting warehouse, inventory, or product management systems. You should be comfortable balancing strategy and execution—able to engage directly with end users while also structuring deliverables and managing timelines.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Project Manager, or hybrid BA/PM role.
Proven success in gathering and documenting business requirements for system enhancements or customizations.
Experience working in distribution, supply chain or retail industry, supporting warehouse management, inventory, or ERP-related systems (Oracle EBS experience a plus).
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills; able to translate operational language into technical requirements.
Comfortable working in dynamic environments with minimal process overhead.
Experience managing cross-functional projects involving internal teams and external consultants.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Oracle EBS or other enterprise-level ERP systems.
Exposure to automation or process improvement initiatives.
Background in distribution, manufacturing, or similar operational settings.
Ability to transition from BA responsibilities into PM oversight as the project moves into execution.
