Key Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives focused on reducing costs, including conducting annual price reviews, value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE), and other assigned projects.
- Manage negotiations with current suppliers during the Annual Price Review to achieve cost reductions.
- Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams within TG to support VA/VE activities aimed at generating savings.
- Handle supplier negotiations related to price increases.
- Oversee sourcing activities and the launch of new programs involving both new and existing components.
- Engage with manufacturing plants, suppliers, and various internal departments during new program launches.
- Prepare, distribute, collect, negotiate, and analyze Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and detailed cost breakdowns for both new and existing suppliers.
- Analyze pricing data and prepare forecasts to support negotiation strategies and budget planning.
- Maintain accurate purchase order records and secure necessary approvals prior to procurement.
- Develop and implement commodity-specific strategies.
- Liaise with TG headquarters in Japan regarding global material sourcing strategies.
- Lead the development of annual cost-saving targets and purchasing strategies within the Purchasing department.
- Work closely with TG’s cross-functional teams and different locations on new material development, commercial agreements, sourcing strategies, and cost reduction efforts.

- Promote continuous improvement by actively participating in process optimization initiatives.
- Address and resolve supplier-related issues as they arise.
- Travel as necessary to TG manufacturing sites and supplier locations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related disciplines.
- At least five years of purchasing experience is required.
- Strong enthusiasm for learning all facets of purchasing and openness to handling multiple commodity areas.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (2007 or later versions) is essential.
- Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal, written, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Commitment to professionalism when interacting with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Strong attention to detail combined with analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
- Experience contributing to the development of short- and long-term global purchasing strategies.
