Your role (Senior Commercial Associate)
Reporting directly to Financial Advisors, the Senior Commercial Associate is in charge of supporting the commercial activities of the Financial Advisors as well as interacting directly with clients during the FAs’ absences.
This role embraces the following duties and responsibilities:
Interacting with designated clients under the guidance of the FAs
Keep management systems up to date with client information
Responsible for client onboarding and account maintenance for new and existing clients by interacting with clients to collect account-specific information, obtain account documents and financials, and provide investment quotes to clients while complying with regulatory and firm policies and procedures
Interface directly with clients and investment team to make investment recommendations, propose firm offerings and execute equity trades, mutual fund orders, fixed income trades and private investment subscriptions
Perform daily administrative and operational duties that support the FAs, and clients, including direct communication with clients regarding money transfers, account maintenance, portfolio review preparation and ad hoc requests, and attending client meetings
Assist with the preparation of reports and other materials for client meetings
Collecting and organizing clients’ background information for KYC purposes and preparing Compliance forms.
Provide the team with a detailed calendar of activities
Your team
You will be working with a financial advisor that services clients in South America and US.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Solid Microsoft Office capabilities, particularly Excel.
Fluency in English and Portuguese. Spanish is a plus.
Series 65 required or obtain within 180 days from start date
At least 6 years of experience in client service, within the finance sector.
Preferred Qualifications
College degree in Business, Finance, or Economic
Professional experience in a similar role (private banking or broker-dealer industry) is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Full understanding of financial markets.
Excellent sense of priorities, strong organizational skills, meticulous.
Proven ability to be a self-starter, act as an end-to-end owner of tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Able to adapt and stay abreast of changing technology and regulatory policies
Experience with Salesforce and Addepar are a plus.
