We're seeking a Sr. Construction Estimator to lead full-lifecycle estimating efforts. This position is responsible for developing accurate and competitive bids and proposals, while contributing to the refinement of internal processes and procedures. If you bring deep field understanding and a strategic mindset, this is an opportunity to impact both the front-end and execution phases of complex construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end estimating efforts for ground-up and renovation projects across public and private sectors
Develop detailed quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid packages using On-Screen Takeoff and Timberline
Analyze plans, specs, and field conditions to develop accurate scopes and pricing strategies
Prepare and submit RFP responses, competitive bids, and design-build proposals in coordination with internal teams
Work closely with project management, engineering, and field personnel to validate assumptions and historical costs
Assist in building and maintaining cost databases and standard operating procedures for estimating workflows
Evaluate subcontractor bids and vendor quotes to ensure complete and accurate coverage
Support business development by participating in pre-bid meetings and contributing to strategic pricing decisions
Qualifications:
Proven experience in general construction estimating, with exposure to a variety of project types such as industrial, multifamily, public works, schools, and data centers
Proficiency in Timberline, On-Screen Takeoff, and other estimating platforms
Strong working knowledge of the construction lifecycle, including field operations and cost tracking
Ability to interpret and analyze complex construction documents, drawings, and specifications
Skilled in developing pricing strategies and assembling competitive bids under deadline pressure
Effective communicator with the ability to lead cross-functional coordination during proposal development
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a focus on improving estimating processes and procedures
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
