The Opportunity
The Senior Director, Go-To-Market (GTM) for Higher Education at Adobe is a pivotal global leadership role responsible for operationalizing go-to-market strategies that drive growth and enhance the customer experience for higher education institutions (students, faculty and administration) worldwide!
The Senior Director will influence cross-functional teams, accelerate revenue performance, and drive market adoption .
What you’ll d o
GTM Strategy & Growth:Own GTM planning across universities and education consortiums driving net-new and expansion opportunities .
Education Stakeholder Engagement:Build long-term relationships with university and Office of Education decision-makers, including leadership, faculty, IT, and educator communities.
Solution & Value Selling:Position Adobe’s Creativ ity and Productivity platforms , including responsible GenAI with Firefly, through outcomes-based selling and education-specific use cases.
Channel & Ecosystem Execution:Co-sell with distributors, resellers, and partners through joint planning, enablement, and deal execution.
Adoption, Renewal & Lifecycle:Partner cross-functionally to drive onboarding, adoption, renewals, and footprint expansion while reducing churn.
What you'll need to succeed
15 + years of GTM and/or sales experience in software/SaaS, IT, or EdTech (education/public sector sales experience strongly preferred)
Education Market Understanding:Practical knowledge Higher Education market, including procurement cycles, budgeting patterns, and customer decision dynamics
Consultative:Proven ability to run structured discovery, articulate business value, and support sales leaders in complex, multi-stakeholder deals
Partner/Channel Management:Experience collaborating with channel partners (distributors/resellers/SIs) and driving outcomes through a partner ecosystem.
Communication & Presentation:Excellent communication skills ; comfortable presenting to senior leaders and account decision makers
Analytical Skills: Data-driven approach; able to interpret pipeline/usage data to drive prioritization and decision-making
Attitude:Ownership, curiosity, and resilience in a dynamic market; strong collaboration skills and a customer-first approach
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience); Master’s degree preferred
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $182,500 -- $389,650 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
In California, the pay range for this position is $250,600 - $389,650
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
