    Position Overview

    RIVUS Consulting LLC is seeking an experienced Senior GIS Analyst to join and strengthen our GIS, asset management, and application development team. This position supports projects at the intersection of transportation, water, and environmental infrastructure, enabling smarter decision-making and digital asset management through advanced GIS analytics, integration, and application development.

    Responsibilities

    The selected candidate will lead or support the following key functions:

    Data & Analysis

    Manage and analyze data related to transportation, drainage, and water/wastewater infrastructure assets.

    Develop, edit, and maintain GIS datasets with strong attention to data integrity, accuracy, and QA/QC.

    Perform spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and data ETL (extraction, transformation, loading).

    Integrate GIS data with asset management systems (e.g., Cityworks) and other relational databases.

    Transform and integrate new and existing datasets to evaluate asset performance and support program-level decisions.

    Applications & Development

    Develop and maintain ArcGIS Server web applications, dashboards, and reporting tools.

    Create and enhance custom GIS web applications and scripts using Python, JavaScript, and ESRI Developer tools.

    Design and configure Survey123, Collector, and Field Maps applications to support field operations.

    Integrate hydraulic and hydrologic modeling results into GIS workflows.

    Streamline GIS data management, workflow automation, and security protocols.

    Support & Collaboration

    Provide GIS and asset management training, documentation, and technical assistance to staff and clients.

    Develop online training materials and user manuals for GIS applications.

    Participate in weekly or monthly progress meetings with internal and client teams.

    Collaborate across disciplines—engineering, planning, and IT—to advance project and program objectives.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, or related discipline (engineering degree preferred but not required).

    10+ years of professional GIS experience, including applied work in infrastructure or environmental systems.

    Proven experience with ESRI ArcGIS technologies: ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS API, ArcGIS JavaScript API, Web AppBuilder, ArcSDE, and ArcGIS Mobile.

    Proficiency with Python scripting, ModelBuilder, and ESRI Survey123/Collector application development.

    Experience with SQL Server and Google Maps integration in web applications.

    Familiarity with data security protocols and web service integration.

    Strong technical writing skills for developing project documentation and metadata.

    Preferred Skills (Highly Desirable)

    Prior experience with transportation and utility asset management systems (e.g., Cityworks, Cartegraph, or Trimble/AMS).

    Experience supporting ArcGIS Enterprise environments and ArcGIS Online/Portal configuration.

    Background integrating GIS with hydraulic models or CAD datasets (e.g., MicroStation, AutoCAD).

    Demonstrated ability to optimize workflows and enhance team productivity through automation or tool development.
