    The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable performance of manufacturing and facility equipment by performing advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement activities. This role requires strong hands-on knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems, including exposure to programmable logic controllers (PLCs). In addition to technical responsibilities, the technician contributes to process optimization, supports team development, and partners with various departments to reduce downtime and strengthen overall equipment effectiveness.

    **This is a Night Shift and Weekend position 4:30PM to 2:30AM **

    Key Duties Include:

    • Conduct preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance on equipment used in the production of softgels, liquids, and gummies.

    • Troubleshoot and repair electrical components such as motors, sensors, switches, wiring, and control cabinets.

    • Diagnose and service mechanical equipment including conveyors, mixers, pumps, and filling systems.

    • Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, including cylinders, regulators, valves, and compressors.

    • Utilize PLCs to identify control-related issues; provide basic support in programming and system troubleshooting.

    • Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation to assist in diagnostics and repair work.

    • Support the setup, modification, relocation, and installation of new and existing machinery.

    • Record all maintenance activities accurately in a CMMS platform (e.g., Fiix).

    • Ensure all work complies with safety protocols, regulatory standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

    • Recommend and help implement improvements to equipment reliability, performance, and safety.

    • Serve as a resource for junior technicians by offering technical direction and mentorship.

    • Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production departments to resolve equipment issues and support ongoing improvement efforts.

    • Help manage and evaluate critical spare parts inventories.

    • Lead the scheduling, coordination, and execution of instrumentation-related work orders to meet maintenance and site goals.

    • Assist with weekend overtime coverage before and after shifts as needed for production support.

    • Promote quality standards within the team and help ensure consistent work execution.

    • Foster open communication and problem-solving across departments, including participation in discussions with Engineering & Maintenance on new or updated equipment.

    • Review work orders in Fiix for accuracy and completeness.

    • Perform daily follow-up to ensure timely closure of work orders in alignment with established procedures.

    • Allocate and assign work orders based on priorities and resource availability.

    • Handle quotes and parts requests in accordance with approved processes.

    • Carry out additional tasks as required.

    Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

    Experience:

    • 3–5 years of experience in a lead or senior maintenance role.

    • Ability to work independently while also guiding and supporting group activities.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.

    • Willingness and ability to work a three-shift rotation when required or during emergencies.

    Compensation: $32.00 - $35.00 Hourly + Overtime and Benefits
