    About the Role

    The Senior Manager, Accounting will play a hands-on leadership role overseeing day-to-day accounting operations across a portfolio of entities within a family office environment. This role owns the accounting lifecycle end to end. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable operating autonomously, and experienced managing complex, multi-entity accounting structures.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Own the complete accounting function for multiple legal entities, including general ledger, payables, receivables, reconciliations, and financial reporting
    • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate results
    • Prepare and review financial statements and internal management reports
    • Maintain oversight of day-to-day transaction processing and ensure proper documentation and controls

    • Perform and review bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
    • Ensure accurate recording of complex transactions in accordance with GAAP
    • Manage sales and use tax compliance, including preparation, filing, and payments
    • Coordinate payroll processing and related filings, including quarterly and annual reporting
    • Partner with tax advisors on annual returns, estimates, and compliance requirements
    • Support audit activities by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses
    • Monitor changes in accounting and tax regulations and proactively implement updates as needed
    • Provide financial analysis and insights to support entity-level decision-making
    • Act as a backup across accounting functions and assist with special projects as required

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
    • CPA strongly preferred
    • Public accounting experience is strongle preferred
    • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in multi-entity or complex operating environments
    • Deep understanding of full-cycle accounting, including payroll and tax-related processes
    • Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls
    • Proven ability to manage details while maintaining a big-picture perspective
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders

    $160,000 per year
