    The Senior Manager, Community Engagement leads a team of public-facing ambassadors, to create and execute initiatives to raise awareness and strengthen the organization's presence and impact in the communities we serve.

    The Senior Manager, Community Engagement will:

    \- Lead, mentor and grow a team of two full time outreach coordinators, as well as seasonal interns and part-time resources to meet organization goals. Manage and schedule day-to-day activities of the team and provide clear direction and ongoing training as well as direction to improve engagement at events. ? Outreach and Engagement Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic community engagement/education plan that reflects Ava’s mission and brand goals, in inclusive of our grants and local development strategies, and responsive to the input of stakeholders including the Ava Board of Directors. Develop strategic metrics that will guide and support evaluation of outreach efforts.

    \- Guide the team in sourcing events that align with agency goals and managing event logistics ensuring a consistent and professional presence at events. 

    \- Use data-driven insights to improve event strategy and engagement impact. Manage the collection of engagement and conversion data from community events. Design and implement a standardized reporting template to track key performance metrics to provide qualitative and quantitative event metrics to stakeholders. 

    -  Identify, contract with, and manage external support resources and vendors to augment internal staff as necessary.

    \- Manage inventory of event materials, regularly refreshing and updating materials as needed to ensure they are on-brand and engaging. 

    \- Work closely with the internal marketing team and across the organization to meet shared goals and to stay abreast of information that is relevant to community stakeholders.

    Key requirements:

    \- 8 years or more experience in community education and engagement

    \- Experience sourcing and managing contractors and outside vendors/agencies

    \- Prior experience designing, implementing, and measuring community engagement programs and initiatives

    \- Excellent organizational skills

    \- Ability to track and report on performance metrics and use data to make strategic decisions

    \- Willingness and ability to travel to do local travel to support key events, roughly once a month

    $175,000 per year
