    Job Description

    Position Overview

    Senior Manager, Event Operations & VIP Hospitality role will be responsible for supporting the strategic planning, execution, and post-event evaluation of USH’s and CityWalk Special Events. This includes a variety of events ranging from Sales and Press Events, Park Buyouts and Internal Team Member Events. In this role, you will work alongside the Special Events Vice President and Director to ensure seamless, high-impact event delivery that aligns with USH’s objectives.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop event prospectuses and communications for internal and external stakeholders across multiple departments
    • Create and manage budgets; prepare financial recaps for all special events
    • Oversee the Special Events Site Request process and operational planning for events including social gatherings, promotional activations, picnics, park buyouts, and annual passholder events
    • Coordinate construction elements related to event planning
    • Partner with Entry teams for event entry, registration, ticketing, and guest flow
    • Serve as Events 1 lead for select events throughout the year
    • Manage park street closures and ensure optimal guest experience during operational impacts
    • Participate in OPX meetings
    • Lead Event Operations & VIP Hospitality teams, including union staff, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements
    • Lead bi-weekly Event Operations Master Calendar meetings
    • Collaborate with Corporate Communications on sound ordinance compliance; hire LAPS representatives as needed
    • Foster strong relationships with internal event teams
    • Encourage employee development and actively support enrollment in the Special Events Roster
    • Oversee VIP hospitality for marquee events such as FFN, HHN and EVE
    • Assist leadership with talent relations, weekly VIP/Special Events reporting and onsite during events
    • Full-time, on-site role at an NBCUniversal-designated location
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree and/or combination of education and years of experience
    • Minimum 5 years of operations management experience in special events, theme parks, or hospitality, with strong guest service background
    • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Excellent time management, communication, planning, analytical, and interpersonal skills
    • Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays

    • Proven experience in special events and union environments
    • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
    • Professional appearance in line with USH standards and additional duties as assigned
