We're seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead efforts in the design, evaluation, and documentation of mechanical systems and components. This role is essential in ensuring that all work adheres to nuclear quality codes and supports the safe and reliable performance of mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in the nuclear industry, technical depth in mechanical calculations, and a strong understanding of change control processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead development and review of detailed mechanical calculations for components, systems, and equipment
Ensure all engineering work complies with nuclear regulatory standards and internal quality procedures
Manage and document change control processes, ensuring design traceability and version control
Support engineering documentation efforts including specifications, datasheets, and technical reports
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to resolve issues related to design, installation, and operation of equipment
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
8+ years of mechanical engineering experience, with at least 3 years in the nuclear industry
Strong familiarity with nuclear quality codes and design standards
Proven ability to perform and verify complex engineering calculations
Experience working with change control and quality assurance systems
Effective communicator with strong documentation and technical writing skills
