Summary
We are looking for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join a rapidly growing construction and specialty contracting company. Our client is a respected industry leader supporting highly technical and mission-critical environments through integrated construction and technology solutions.
This senior-level engineering role leads the design and delivery of complex mechanical and plumbing systems for commercial and industrial facilities. The position blends technical expertise, team leadership, and client collaboration, with a focus on delivering efficient, constructible designs and supporting long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Lead mechanical and plumbing system design for large commercial and industrial projects
Oversee concept development, system optimization, and engineering documentation
Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure practical, cost-effective designs
Review drawings, specifications, and design calculations for quality and accuracy
Mentor and provide technical oversight to engineering and design staff
Support project planning, estimating, and feasibility studies
Partner with clients and consultants to develop design solutions and maintain strong relationships
Drive process improvements, innovation, and best practices within the design team
Promote a strong safety culture and professional standards
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
10+ years of mechanical design experience in commercial or industrial environments
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Experience with design-build project delivery preferred
Proficiency with engineering and design software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office)
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams
Valid driver’s license and ability to visit active job sites
