    The Opportunity

    The Document Cloud Mobile team at Adobe seeks an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join our innovative team in San Jose, CA. This is a great chance to work with an outstanding team to deliver flawless mobile applications that have a significant impact on our users' lives. Work as a Quality Engineer with senior-level responsibilities to maintain high standards for mobile apps. You will be responsible for the quality of our features, crafting test strategies, performing manual tests and aiding in automation testing, and tracking defects carefully. This candidate is an exceptional leader, with excellent problem-solving skills and proven experience across the mobile space.

    What you'll Do

    • Develop comprehensive testing plans for assigned features, incorporating manual, automated, exploratory, and ad-hoc testing to ensure high-quality releases.
    • Take full ownership of feature quality by performing tests, evaluating risks, and clearly communicating results and release readiness to team members.
    • Find opportunities for process optimization and collaborate with Engineering to improve team productivity and efficiency.
    • Partner with Product Development, Product Management, Quality Engineering, Load & Performance, UX, and Operations teams to develop innovative testing strategies that meet market demands for functionality, scalability, reliability, and performance.
    • Analyze feature requirements for each release, define testing strategies, and coordinate execution across relevant team members.
    • Manage the full defect lifecycle-reporting, tracking, re-testing-and produce detailed test plans, end-to-end scenarios, and status reports to support release decisions.

    What you need to succeed

    • Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field-or equivalent practical experience.
    • Deep expertise in testing iOS and Android mobile applications, including in-app purchases and subscription-based models.
    • Solid understanding of mobile accessibility standards and experience conducting accessibility testing.
    • Proven ability to develop test strategies, documentation, and both automated UI and functional tests.
    • Exceptional skills in bug detection, regression testing, and defect tracking.
    • Strong analytical and communication abilities, with a curiosity about solving complex and ambiguous problems.
    • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Demonstrated success in leading QA efforts for large-scale, complex applications.
    • Experience in internationalization and localization testing, particularly for CCJK languages, is preferred
    • Strong automation skills are highly desirable, including:
    • Proficiency with frameworks such as XCUITest, Espresso, or Appium.
    • Experience building automated tests for mobile simulators and physical devices.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Git and Jenkins.

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $109,000 -- $215,000 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

    At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

    In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
