      Salary: $70K–$75K (level determined by experience)

      About the Role

      We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This position plays a key role in maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of financial records while supporting financial close, reporting, reconciliations, and operational accounting functions.

      Primary Responsibilities

      General Accounting & Financial Close

      • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and reclassifications

      • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger account reconciliations

      • Maintain ownership of assigned balance sheet accounts and resolve variances

      • Assist with and/or lead month-end and year-end close processes

      • Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements to management

      • Analyze financial results and investigate fluctuations or unusual activity

      Reporting, Analysis & Controls

      • Support preparation of internal financial statements and management reports

      • Perform variance analysis and provide financial insights

      • Assist with maintaining GAAP compliance and internal controls

      • Support revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions

      • Participate in audit preparation and year-end schedules

      Operational & Cross-Functional Support

      • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance, and other departments

      • Support ERP implementations and system upgrades

      • Maintain and improve accounting procedures and processes

      Additional Senior-Level Responsibilities

      • Drive monthly and year-end G/L closing processes

      • Assist with annual planning, forecasting, and labor studies

      • Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and capital asset requests

      • Administer HSA bank account and support customer web portal setup

      • Perform customer exemption certificate validations

      Accounts Receivable Oversight

      • Provide analytical oversight of AR processes

      • Ensure invoicing accuracy and cash application integrity

      • Monitor credit exposure and aging performance

      • Support timely collection of outstanding receivables

      Qualifications


      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

      • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

      • Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting

      • Experience leading month-end and year-end close processes

      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

      Preferred

      • Experience in Manufacturing, Construction, or Distribution environments
