We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with deep expertise in structural analysis and design for commercial nuclear projects.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and verify structural engineering deliverables including calculations, drawings, and specifications in accordance with nuclear QA standards.
Develop and review structural designs for pipe supports, equipment mounting, rigging evaluations, and baseplate anchorage.
Apply knowledge of ASME B31.1 to support basic pipe support analysis as needed.
Conduct site walkdowns to validate field conditions and gather structural data for plant modifications.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient designs under regulatory frameworks.
Support quality assurance processes and maintain rigorous documentation in alignment with 10CFR50 Appendix B.
Qualifications:
BS Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required; EIT or PE preferred.
5+ years of structural engineering experience, with active and recent participation in commercial nuclear design projects.
Proficiency with MathCAD Prime and GTSTRUDL is required.
Strong knowledge of AISC ASD, ACI codes, and nuclear-specific codes and standards.
Familiarity with pipe support design, baseplate anchorage, and equipment support systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions and technical contributions.
