Senior Electrical Engineer – Remote | Full-Time

We’re looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our forward-thinking team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing and developing electrical schematics, diagrams, and drawings for high-voltage systems. You’ll ensure that all designs meet industry codes, safety standards, and project requirements while collaborating closely with clients, project managers, and internal teams.

JOB FUNCTION:

• Designs new and interprets new and existing one-lines, panel elevations, AC/DC communication schematics, relay panel wiring diagrams, and equipment wiring diagrams
• Performs and checks battery sizing calculations.
• Writes and checks material list descriptions for electrical equipment.
• Checks drawings for conduit, grounding, control buildings, electrical arrangements, outdoor lighting, and equipment manufacturing.
• Reviews test reports, relay settings, coordination studies, and load flow studies
• Demonstrates integrity and ethics in all client relationships and communications.
• Answers technical questions posed by construction managers, field staff, project managers, customers, and their representatives.
• Recognizes and recommends methods to improve every customer’s experience.
• Perform other studies (short circuit, load flow, cable ampacity, etc.) as able and required.
• Travels periodically to both customer offices for project meetings and to job sites for construction visits and testing
• Manages the day-to-day activities of the schedule and design of projects assigned to them
• Coordinates and problem solves between design teams and departments
• Performs quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
• Interacts professionally with other employees and customers.
• Works effectively as a team contributor on all assigned projects.
• Communicates regularly with supervisor regarding designs, concerns, studies or tests
• Desire to participate in continued education and training
• Occasional overnight travel to active job sites
• Must have a clean driving record as use of company vehicles is a requirement of the position
• Adhere to and practice the company's core competencies and company principles
• Maintains a check print set of all work they perform
• Utilizes the department EETs in an effective manner to get all work accomplished on time and correctly

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• A bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 4 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Protection, and Controls is required
• PE is required
• Strong background in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required; strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

Knowledge of all or some of the following applications is preferred: AutoCAD, CDEGS grounding software, AcSELerator Quickset, Enervista, CYMCAP, SKM, LitePro, ETAP
