    Our client, a respected and growing Tax Law firm, is seeking a Senior Tax Attorney to lead complex tax controversy matters and support a high-performing legal team.     Position Overview

    The Senior Tax Attorney will manage cases from intake through resolution, serve as the primary client contact, and work closely with partners on federal and state tax matters. Casework may include audits, appeals, litigation support, voluntary disclosures, offshore compliance, innocent spouse claims, and collection alternatives. You’ll also supervise associate attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure cases progress efficiently and effectively.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and resolve complex tax controversy matters

    • Communicate directly with clients, IRS, and state agencies

    • Conduct financial analysis and strategic evaluations

    • Track time accurately and meet annual billable expectations

    • Lead and mentor associate attorneys and staff

    • Oversee workflow, deadlines, and quality control

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of tax controversy experience

    • Active Bar license

    • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills

    • Proficiency in Adobe, MS Office, and legal billing/timekeeping tools

    • Ability to lead, collaborate, and maintain high-quality work in a fast-paced environment

  • Compensation
    $150,000-$225,000 per year
