    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-Time

    CLASSIFICATION: Leadership Association

    ANNUAL SALARY: $48,000 - $52,000 based on skills, qualifications, and experience

    FLSA STATUS: Exempt

    HOURS:  Hours generally Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Hours may vary based on need.

    JOB SUMMARY: The Marketing and Communication Manager works to implement institutional marketing and advertising plans that support SC4’s mission and goals, increase student enrollment, and strengthen the college’s brand. This person edits and creates content, manages social media channels, and tracks and reports on marketing and advertising efforts. The Manager is skilled at creating original content and using a wide variety of marketing and advertising tactics and channels — including digital and traditional ads, emails, landing pages, print media, social media content, text messages, website content and more — to meet goals. This individual is a creative thinker, takes initiative, is goal-oriented, and possesses excellent writing, communication, storytelling, interpersonal, project-management, and decision-making skills.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage and implement the college’s overall content marketing plan, ensuring that deliverables are created, deadlines met, and optimal results achieved.
    • Serve as editorial manager and creative content expert for the college, creating content for print, web and digital media, direct mail, publications and materials, advertising, displays, social and other emerging media channels.
    • Manage and create content for and increase engagement on the college’s social media channels.
    • Manage the production of college publications and materials.
    • Manage overall brand usage and implementation across campus to ensure brand cohesion and impact.
    • Work within MAC team to help identify, coordinate, and implement public relations activities and special events in coordination with the college’s community and alumni team.
    • Manage volunteers, work study students and coordination with freelance writers, designers and vendors.
    • Manage the college’s digital advertising platforms.
    • Effectively act as an ambassador for the College.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

     

    SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Director of Admissions and Marketing.

     

    SUPERVISION GIVEN: Digital & Creative Services Coordinator; Secretary, Marketing and Communication.

     

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communication, or related field required.
    • Three to five years of writing/editing, social media and content marketing efforts.
    • Experience with Google Ads and social media ad platforms preferred.
    • Higher education experience preferred.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including attention to detail, required.
    • Strong organizational and computer skills (Microsoft Office programs) and Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite required.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop, manage and complete multiple concurrent priorities and projects required.
    • Possesses a strong understanding of marketing and advertising principles and best practices.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High level of expertise in editing and writing.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide audience.
    • Ability to direct and lead a team with vision.
    • Collect, organize, and assess data to make informed decisions.
    • Strong understanding of website principles and best practices.
    • Attention to detail, and the ability to work with statistics, figures and budgets.
    • Familiarity with publication, printing, prepress processes, multimedia and photography.
    • High degree of expertise in content strategy, campaigns and with social media.
    • Ability to serve as an articulate spokesperson for the institution.
    • High level of problem-solving, critical thinking and conflict resolution skills.
    • Strong work ethic, sense of urgency and “can do” attitude.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Customer-service orientation.
