We are looking for a full time, experienced, GRADING EQUIPMENT OPERATOR to complete tasks around the surrounding Raleigh, Durham, NC area.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The equipment operator for grading operates and maintains various pieces of equipment. On occasion this position may deliver material outside of Sunrock facilities.
- Operates heavy equipment such as: bull dozer, excavator, roller, and backhoe.
- Read plans on site and check grade according to site plan.
- Operate/drive equipment to excavate, move, and grade earth, concrete, asphalt, or other hard surface pavement on road beds and dirt/earth surfaces in a safe manner.
- This position may perform other duties on the crew as needed.
- The operator is responsible for pre and post checks, daily maintenance, and keeping the equipment clean and ready for daily operation.
- Complete written report of problems or necessary repairs and forward to maintenance personnel. Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
- Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Normal work hours are day or night shift eight (8) to fourteen (14) hours Monday through Friday.
- Weekend work may be required depending on the contract.
- Must be able and ready to work in all weather conditions (rain, sun, snow, wind, etc.)
- Must also be able to tolerate a loud work environment.

Required Skills
- Valid North Carolina Driver’s License is preferred.
Required Experience
- EDUCATION: High school or equivalent.
- EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of related experience and/or training.
