ESE TEACHER

St. Hugh Catholic School in Miami, Florida has an opening for a qualified Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Teacher/ Coordinator for the upcoming 2024-25 academic year. The candidate ensures the quality of education and special needs programs to achieve the fullest attainment of the school's unique Catholic mission and shares responsibility for integrating faith and learning within the school through successful academic programs. The ESE teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.

Qualifications:

• BS / BA Degree in Exceptional Student Education required; masters preferred.
• Florida Department of Education ESE teaching certificate; temporary or professional required.
• Experience teaching multi-grade level students with varying cognitive/developmental exceptionalities or disabilities, with proficiency in effective strategies.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including a clear speaking voice.
• Good spelling and grammar are required.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
• Strong presentation skills with use of instructional technologies.
• Ability to design effective programs for diverse learning needs.
• Ability to assist parents and teachers with ESE evaluations.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Must be able to multi-task and retain accuracy in competing deadlines.
• Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church, experience in a Roman Catholic environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic tenets of Roman Catholic Church.
• Must have a professional demeanor.

St. Hugh Catholic School in Miami (Coconut Grove), Florida has an opening for a qualified Teachers for the upcoming 2020-21 school year. T This teacher will be required to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program. The Teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Schedule: Monday – Friday: 07:20 a.m. – 03:20 p.m.

Qualifications:
BS / BA Degree in Education oe Bachelors degree in an area with application towards State of Florida certification.
Florida department of Education SOE or temporary/permamnet or in the process of certification.
Experience in teaching elementary students in kindergarten, 4th, 5th grade is preferred but not required. New teachers welcomed
Excellent classroom management.
Must engage in departmental and inter-departmental curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Must be available for consultation prior to and after the school day at the request of Pastor/Principal.
Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
Excellent presentation skills with skill in use of innovative instructional technologies.
Excellent classroom management skills.
Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
