    Job Description

    If you are friendly, outgoing and have a passion for great food and service the St. James Hotel would like to talk with you about our Banquet Cook position.

    Assist the Banquet Chef and work as a part of well executed, small culinary team. Prepare foods for Banquets and Catering orders for groups of 15 to 250 as well as multiple groups at once-- while following health and sanitation guidelines at all times. Accurately and efficiently cook hot and cold food products, plate and hold food for large plated parties and buffets, deliver food to locations within the hotel and occasionally off site. Work mostly weekends no later than 10:00 PM with a team geared towards executing delicious high quality volume food and superb presentation.

    Qualifications

    • Basic understanding of reading recipes and cooking techniques
    • The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of kitchen operations and be able to prepare dishes from scratch with minimal oversight
    • Good organization and communication skills
