    The Department of Administration and Instructional Leadership (DAIL) in The School of Education at St. John’s University invites applicants for Applicant Pool for Adjunct (faculty) instructional coach positions with a focus on dissertation support. The adjunct will collaborate with dissertation mentors to support DAIL doctoral students through using an instructional coach approach to 1) support students to write a review of literature, 2) coaching students to develop theoretical and/or conceptual frameworks, 3) support the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, 4) assist with the alignment of University Library formatting and dissertation publishing processes, and 5) participate in dissertation committees, among other duties based on Department needs. Faculty are expected to work at all NY locations and online. Hours include both in-person instruction and individual mentoring sessions. All coaches will be expected to participate in Department-sponsored training sessions.

     

    Qualifications

     

    Ideal applicants will have a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership or a related field. They will have evidence of successful university-level teaching experience; and a demonstrated record of scholarship with robust research experience in qualitative or quantitative methods. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work cooperatively with doctoral students to ensure the successful completion of their dissertations. Priority will go to candidates with experience mentoring doctoral students and participating on doctoral committees.
