PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The position will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of warehouse and production equipment in assigned location.  This role, will also assist in the implementation of proper preventive maintenance processes, to ensure the overall maintenance of the location and facility equipment.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Perform routine repair and maintenance work, predictive and preventive inspections.
• Repair facility equipment (i.e. pallet jacks, forklifts, production equipment/systems, plumbing, etc.).
• Assist with moving, installation, repositioning of machines and equipment.
• Respond to maintenance request for equipment fault, diagnose fault repair and return equipment to operations service Work includes i.e: plumbing, electrical, and/or general building maintenance, etc.
• Identify spares requirements and control / logging tasks and issues that come across.
• Prioritize workload to support production and ensure efficient use of working time.
• Report breakdown root cause, equipment faults and concerns to management, and maintenance manager.
• Assist visiting engineer and technicians when necessary.
• All work to be carried out operating in a safe and efficient manner.

MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, from an accredited institution.
• Related work experience, in mechanical maintenance and/or similar role.
• Prior experience with assembling machinery.
• Electrical, plumbing, general maintenance, troubleshooting/repair skills.
• Lift a minimum of 50 lbs., and work from rooftops 30 feet or higher.
• Able to work in a cold environment, and be available to perform on site job evaluations.

PREFERRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:

• Knowledge of HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems/functions.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook, etc.).
• Valid Driver’s License and excellent driving record.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Must have Health Insurance License, which if not current will be required to be current within 30 days of hire.
• At least 1 year of previous industry related experience in the area of marketing, sales or client services preferred.
• Familiarity with operation including claim, customer service billing and enrollment preferred.
• Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Experience preferred in Microsoft office products, Compass or Amisys, a plus.
• Good problem solving skills required for benefit interpretation for problem resolution.
• Ability to work independently.
