    Job Description

    JOB SUMMARY

    Under the supervision of the Vice President of Marketing & Communications, the Public Relations & Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, creating and overseeing the digital marketing and advertising campaigns, will manage public relations requests and prepare press releases.  The PR & Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for expanding the agency’s brand reach while increasing donor participation.   

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Public Relations & Digital Marketing Manager’s key areas of responsibility and duties include: 

    KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: 

    • Manage marketing communication strategies including the management of social networks, email, and press releases
    • Manage media opportunities, including responding to reporters, writing talking points and writing op-eds
    • Generate monthly reports on the marketing campaign’s performance
    • Create campaigns on social media platforms
    • Maintain brand messaging throughout all platforms
    • Develop, evaluate, and oversee the implementations of A/B testing protocols and procedures for eblast campaigns 
    • Assist and manage donor event campaigns

    QUALIFICATIONS

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    • Must be highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate
    • Must be self-motivated and focused
    • Strong creative writing skills
    • Must have the ability to design, build, and maintain a social media presence
    • Must have the ability to work well in a team or individual work environment
    • Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics); working knowledge of ad serving tools

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Proven work experience in digital marketing, particularly within the industry
    • Demonstrated experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
    • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
    • Experience with A/B testing

     

    EDUCATION:

    • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in communications, marketing, public administration or a related field

    DIRECT REPORTS:

    This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities

    COMPUTER SKILLS:

    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Ability to use widely supported internet browsers

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:

    • Valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions. 
    • Valid automobile liability insurance.

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

    • This position requires travel to SJC locations and will also have weekend and evening responsibilities as needed.
