    Job Description

    St. Luke’s School seeks an experienced, strategic, and collaborative DEVELOPMENT COMMUNICATIONS AND STEWARDSHIP MANAGER to oversee, craft, and implement the communications outputs and stewardship tools in the Development Office. This is a new position with the opportunity to inform and elevate department norms and practices. This is a full-time, 12-month position reporting to the Associate Director of Development.

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Implement and manage the processes, procedures, and tools that enable and encourage best practices and consistency in donor stewardship and recognition

    • Manage the creation of department-wide donor communications and mass communications in coordination with Development colleagues

    • Draft donor messaging, working cross-functionally to execute effective targeted communications plans aligned with prioritized donors, donor segments and organizational strategies

    • Serve as liaison with Marketing & Communications Department

    • Serve as liaison with external printers and designers 

    • Manage Development Office social media presence

    • Prepare personalized correspondence including letters, donor updates, invitations, and briefings

    • Create donation forms and event registration forms for Development Department events and initiatives, using Raiser’s Edge’s Online Express and RENXT

    • Generate content for Development website, parent e-news and alumni e-news channels

    • Oversee design and production of Annual Report and other publications

    • Collaborate with Marketing & Communications Department to place development related stories and announcements in internal and external publications

    • Other responsibilities as assigned

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree

    • Exceptional written communication and organizational skills

    • Experience with managing social media for a company or not for profit organization

    • Ability to work independently and as a team player with a range of constituents and colleagues

    • Ability to draft language quickly/under deadline

    • Ability to multi-task and adhere to multiple, competing deadlines

    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)

    • Familiarity with Google Workspace (G Suite) tools and functionality 

    • Familiarity with email-marketing software and best practices 

    • Proficiency with Canva, In-Design, or other basic design platform

    • Experience with CRMs; familiarity with Raiser’s Edge, Online Express, and/or RENXT a plus

    • Commitment to Equity and Inclusion, with strong cultural competency skills
