    The Communications Manager manages St. Patrick Center communications, branding and publicity efforts. Responsibilities include producing high quality, effective marketing materials to build awareness and gain new supporters for the agency’s mission, programs, fundraisers, accomplishments and client successes. This includes development of an editorial calendar that will guide production and distribution of print and electronic newsletters, social media, an annual report, website content and media relations efforts. RESPONSIBILITIES Communication Leadership • Create content for and manage distribution of all print and communication channels including: newsletter/print, email, website, social media, digital and media advertising • Manage communications finances; participate in creation of communications budgets & ensure adherence to annual budgets • Develop, maintain and execute activities outlined on agency editorial calendar • Lead collection and analysis of SEO data to measures effectiveness of communications • Manage agency branding standards and ensure messages and materials are consistent • Collaborate with Catholic Charities of St. Louis federation to advance agency’s advocacy efforts Publications Management • Produce professional and creative news releases, brochures, speeches, client stories, campaign and event materials Website Management • Lead all efforts to maximize agency website to attract new donors and volunteers as well as serve as a learning tool on St. Patrick Center’s mission • Lead all strategies to measure and increase traffic to website • Responsible for all content changes to website, including banners, new page creation and other new features that improve user experience Social Media Management • Develop and implement social media calendar that aligns with agency editorial calendar and development priorities • Create and post effectively and regularly, and engage with diverse audiences through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube to generate awareness of St. Patrick Center programs, resources and initiatives • Manage social media advertising • Regularly monitor and measure social media reach including achieving new donor and new volunteer metrics • Explore new communications tools and platforms for the agency, including podcasts & emerging social media Media Relations • Identify opportunities to proactively reach out to local print & broadcast media • Lead development of relationships with local print and broadcast media • Actively pitch stories to media and leverage coverage through social media and other communications channels SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Exceptional writing and editing skills • Excellent verbal communication skills • Proficient in using standard office equipment; proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), Survey Monkey, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Google Analytics • Experience with WordPress or comparable website management systems; Proficient with HootSuite, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Vimeo and YouTube • Photography, graphic design, video and video editing skills a plus • Ability to adapt and adjust to new ideas and initiatives • Strong communication and time-management skills • Able to work independently and be a strong team member EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’s degree • Minimum 5 years nonprofit communications experience or similar role • Experience working in RaisersEdge NXT or similar donor marketing database is a plus
