The Part Time SOAR (SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access and Recovery) Counselor and Program Support role will process SOAR applications, perform office assistant duties and fill in for Intake Counselor when required. The SOAR Counselor and Program Support individual is a part of the Shamrock Club within St. Patrick Center. RESPONSIBILITIES • Complete SOAR applications (after SOAR training) • Fill-in for intake counselor • Handle data entry tasks for Shamrock Club (behavioral health treatment program) • Collect weekly time sheets for client-employees • Develop client files and program forms • Handle daily census numbers of Shamrock clients and Casserole Program • Sort, record and return client mail • Order necessary supplies for Shamrock Club • Miscellaneous administrative duties as needed • Secretarial work as needed • Update paper and computer forms as needed • Document all referrals or services provided to clients into Case Worthy/Service Point systems • Complete departmental paperwork DIRECT REPORTS None KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE • College degree preferred: counseling psychology, BSW or related field preferred • Knowledge of behavioral health issues and substance use disorder issues required • Knowledge of housing and other supportive service resources • Ability to engage and work with community programs • Understanding of mental health disorders and substance use disorder QUALIFICATIONS • Interest in helping clients reach full potential • Ability to work well with a wide range of people • Good planning skills • Ability to handle confidential information • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations • Ability to process large volumes of paperwork BENEFITS • Medical, dental and vision insurance • Paid life insurance • Long-term disability insurance • Flexible spending account • 403b with company match • Holiday pay • Paid time off (self-care days, birthday and personal day) • Paid paternity and maternity leave • Paid sick days • Wellness perks • Employee appreciation days • Learning and development resources • And much more!
