Responsibilities
The primary duty of this person is to create an environment of story and welcome for our children during our primary Sunday worship service. The Children's Chapel Director is expected to work an average of 4-5 hours a week preparing for children's offerings during the program year (September - May). The primary duties are facilitating Children's Chapel on Sunday morning, organizing volunteer helpers, and planning in collaboration with the Director of Music the annual Christmas Eve Pageant. This is a part-time, hourly position; it does not include benefits. Some of the planning work may be done from home. Familiarity with the Episcopal Church is a plus. A Godly Play (storytelling method) workshop is available for the leaders.
